The European Med-clusters Boosting Remunerative Agro-Wine Circular Economy (EMBRACE) is an innovation project of the Interreg Mediterranean (MED) program that aims to help Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and promote awareness actions among national and regional authorities and intermediary stakeholders, in order to increase the application of the Circular Economy principles in the daily business of companies. The objective is to initiate the implementation of the Circular Economy principles in the regions involved, in order to facilitate the transition to a more efficient use of resources and more circular and sustainable production patterns.

To achieve this goal, the project will prepare training modules and a set of tools to implement the Circular Economy principles in SMEs in the wine and agri-food sectors in the Mediterranean region.

During the testing phase of EMBRACE, all project partners will develop and support local actions through outreach activities of regional teams, to work around the principles of Circular Economy with SMEs in their regions. In order to reinforce the impact of the Circular Economy, viable business models for SMEs will be developed in this field and then these models will be disseminated during the test phase.
