leafhopper

The leafhopper is a key pest of the vine. It belongs to the Cicadelidae family (sucker-sucking insects). In Portugal the species have already been identified:  empoasca vitis ,  Jacobiasca lybica, E. solani, E. decipiens and  Euscelidius variegatus . The leafhopper is easy to detect on the undersides of leaves. 

The existence of damage depends on atmospheric conditions, the state of the plant and the moment, intensity and duration of the attack.
